It used to do it, now I often forget I downloaded something because it does it in the background and I have to go chase down the "download" folder which I can hardly ever find.
Hi timlturner, if you are running Firefox 20 or later, there should be a green downloads arrow on the toolbar that lists your recent downloads. Did a reset and when downloading RAR files the "do this automatically" was greyed out.
